Osteopathy is a manual biomechanical
treatment approach, which considers
the body as a unit. |
By listening to case history, observing and testing move-
ment patterns and passively feeling through the body,
the symptom-producing area is found. When the area is
localized the region around it, is evaluated and con-
sidered in relation to the global pattern of the body to
find the reason the symptom-producing area is reacting. |
Fundamental principles are followed:
The body is unit, the entire biomechanical system
works together.
The better the mechanical and functional balance of
the body, the better the self correcting forces will work.
The structure and function are mutually dependent on
each other
Osteopathy is a medical science. It is based on traditional
medical disciplines like anatomy, physiology, neurology,
embryology, biomechanics and pathology. | | |
